Being a caregiver for the past forty years has given me countless opportunities to help a variety of people. I have dealt with many different situations and illnesses in all age groups. I am a compassionate and patient individual. Nursing is my career. I started in 1978 as a certified nursing assistant and went on to graduate in 1995 as an LPN. My specialty is geriatrics mostly in skilled nursing facilities. Presently I work private care only. I much rather prefer to focus on individual care now. Having taken care of both of my parents at home and having years of nursing background, I am more than qualified to take care of your loved one. I will provide a relaxing, stimulating environment where they will feel safe. All the while making sure their daily needs are met. Providing nutrious meals and snacks is also important. I have specialized knowledge of Altzeimers and dementia. I have no problem giving insulin shots or morphine as I worked in hospice care. I am single with my son grown up. I have a very flexible schedule yet do make time for myself. I keep Sundays free for church and family. I prefer to work day hours, but will work some evenings if needed. I can only help your loved one if they are able to be mobile as I have a lifting restriction. I can assist someone in and out and up and down, but not if I have to lift. I also help with errands, light housekeeping, medication reminders, and will offer any helpful info if needed for your loved ones care. Thank you for taking the time to read about me.

I am a very loving person and I love to help people to put smile on their face. I love to be a care giver because it my passion to be a Nurse. I love to help other to live the best of their lives in a meaningful way. Am also a very fun to be with. I have a family member that pass away from a certain sickness, I was their but I couldn't help in any shape or form, since then I decided to join the health care field and join hands in fighting certain diseases . What I love most in been a care giver is that am able to put smile on their face at the time that they can help themselves and I help lift them in Sprit and make then happy. What inspired me to become a caregiver and also going for my CNA license is my mother. She's been a CNa over 30 years. It inspired me to help others it inspired me to become a better person knowing that I still have the ability to help others reach there daily goals in life and just letting people know they always have a helping hand. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is knowing that I can help. Just knowing that I can help make a difference in someone's life. My personal achievement im proud of was taking the steps to get my CNA and continuing my nursing education.

I am very fast on my feet and I pick up information pretty well. Since my mother has a lot of bone problems growing, I always seen her in a lot of pain or just needed extra help, and that's where it all began. Me as a caregiver I enjoy spending my time with the patients getting to know them, just try to always keep a smile on there faces.

I am a very caring and patient person that have respect for others and their situations. The reason why I chose to be a caregiver because I love helping the elderly, I grew up helping take care of my late grandmother and it's a blessing to me. I've learned so much from just being around her all the time and experiencing the kind of care and love we both had for one another. My personal achievements I'm proud of is graduating from The Pennsylvania State University with a bachelors in Life Sciences and minors in Biology and Psychology.

I am very loving and compassionate when it comes to caring for a person. I grew in a big family and as the older sibling/cousin I was always in charge for caring and taking care of the younger ones. Eventually as I got older made my own little family my daughters grandmother ended gradually showing signs of dementia and I stepped in and became her first caregiver. So for me this touches home cause I've experienced it with someone I loved dearly and it broke my heart to see her slowly forgetting the ones around her. I loved that I was able to show her love, kindness and happiness until she no longer remembered anything anymore. I am very proud of how many people I have been able to keep in good spirits the last 10 years.

I'm very friendly and caring, I have done in home care for about 3 years total and then worked as a medical assistant since 2018. I'm currently going to school for respiratory therapy I have 1.5 years left this is why I choose to go back to home care as the schedule for school doesn't allow me to work a normal 9-5 but this also allows me to get back to doing what I love the one on one care with a client.
