My uncle had no mobility and depended on round the clock care.But I was always able to make him belly laugh everyday. My mother-in-law, had three open heart surgeries and additional medical needs. I always made the time to care for her throughout the entire day. I enjoy being a companion and support system. My grandmother always told me that taking care of someone is a privilege not a job. I'm a mother of two amazing children. I'm a very patient and caring person who has a lot of experience assisting individuals with their daily routines. I first got into the field through my cousin who worked with mentally and physically challenged individuals of all ages when I was younger. I did that for many years and loved it. I then moved into early childhood education and worked for Headstart and a few daycare businesses. I started working specifically with seniors when my grandmother unfortunately became ill and I was one of her caregivers until she passed away. Since then I've worked in the field and have met a lot of incredible people. Sometimes I have to go from individual to individual depending on the company I'm working for and have always had good compliments and have always been requested back by them because of my outstanding job performance. My kids are getting older and I'm able to focus more on my career now.
