Hello, I have been a Certified Nursing Assistant for 20 years. I've always had a passion for caring for those who may be in need of healthcare services and assistance with maintaining dignity and as much as independence as possible. I am CPR certified, up to date on all vaccinations including COVID. I have experience with several areas of healthcare ranging from acute hospital, nursing home, hospice, disabilities and special needs, and home health. I enjoy being able to make someone's day better by providing a comforting ear, hand, smile, or personal care whenever needed. I feel that we all need someone with compassion, sympathy/ empathy, and a genuine love for wanting to see people do well in whatever capacity of life they may be. I have an Associates Degree in Human Services and one of my current achievements is deciding to pursue a degree in nursing. I enjoy interacting with my clients, like reading , conversation, games when appropriate and taking them for walks when possible. What makes me a great caregiver is being able to show empathy and compassion, to see my assignment more a ministry and calling than "work". I love people and working with families. I chose this area of work because it relates to my persona in that i am a natural , caring person by nature. My greatest achievements are when I am able to see results from the care and compassion I give. For example, when I have successfully been able to transition a patient from a state of "depression" to a sense of well-being and hope. I integrate this by instilling positive attitude, care and love for my clients with genuineness . I enjoy what I do and love getting up in the morning to make a difference the patient and families' lives. Additionally, I feel that I am better capable of caring for families given my wealth of experience from working with children in primary education as a certified childcare giver to going into the medial capacity working with families of all ages including geriatrics. I have worked in the medical field for over 20 years with the last of my years as a Medical Assistant in Orthopedics.

I originally started taking care of family members then I made my way over to home health companies. I've been in the field officially for over a year, taking care of those who need the help is something I'm very passionate about. I've done just about everything from adults to children!

Hello, my name is De'Shayna, I go by shayna for short. I attended The Academy for Technology and Academics where I studied health science and received my CNA license in 2015. I have since worked full time in a nursing home for two years and hospital for two years. In my free time i took up some home health jobs and did some hospice work as well. I love what I do, because not only am I there to care for someone I'm there to give them companionship. Someone to talk to. Someone to look forward to. Nothing warms my heart more than seeing my residents facing when I walk into the door.

I took cna classes most of my time in highschool. I never got take the state exam before going and working for the prison. Im carismatic and love to help people. Im happy most of the time and optimistic.
