I am a great caregiver because I take the time to listen to the concerns, wants and needs of the clients and their families. I became a caregiver because I know a lot of people do not have what it takes to be compassionate toward others that are not their family or friends. I have been a caregiver for 8 years and I grow to love my clients and their families as if they were my own family.

I'm caring, compassionate, understanding, patient. I love working with the elderly and disabled people, and hearing all about them. I've worked in a nursing home and done home Health care for a total of over 5 years. It brings me so much joy helping people!

I am a compassionate and empathetic individual. I try my best to understand how someone else is feeling to better accommodate their needs. I also have a lot of patience and experience worthing with individuals with dementia and developmental disabilities. I have also been a housekeeper. The part I enjoy the most about being a caregiver is assisting the clients in the comfort of their home. Trying to make then as comfortable as possible. A personal achievement I am proud of is graduating college, because I was the first one in my family to do so.

Semi retired RN looking to spend the winters in Florida, near Sarasota/ Venice area. I have a husband and we have raised 3 beautiful children. Became an empty nester so I have a 10 mth old puppy, Wilson. Getting very tired of the South Dakota winters! My parents also winter in Sarasota, Fl I am looking for a place to stay and care for a family's child or elderly person or couple. I do not have a RN license for Florida. If needed, then I would have to work part time. I have been a RN since 1986. I have had 20 plus years of Pediatric nursing and adult hospital and home health experience. I love people! Young and old. I'm very outgoing. I enjoy golf, swimming, shopping, tennis. I love my family and my puppy Wilson.

I enjoy helping others and helping them feel comfortable and happy. I treat them with respect and treat them as they were my own family I would be careing for. Ever since I started becoming a CNA I started out slow but I became very aware of certain things an how each individual is taken care of a little differently and I have become known to be a great caregiver. Many residents and family's an staff have reached out to me on how well I do my job. I feel good about myself knowing people notice how good I can be at my job. I enjoy doing many things with residents an they can always carry on good stories that make my day. I think working in nursing homes are great but I am looking into becoming more one on one with residents so I can actually get to know them, conversate more, be better at a routine throughout the day, and would get to do different activities or things outside of nursing homes. I like that feeling of helping others as well and feeling like your welcome into a home.
