Hello my name is Rachel. I recently just moved to the Knoxville area from Sarasota Florida. I've been a caregiver for 8 years. I love being a caregiver and helping bring happiness to someone's life. I can help with transporting to Doctors, cooking, laundry, bathing, exercising, light house cleaning, companionship, I know how to use a Hoyer lift. Of course I can transfer with gaitbelt (as needed). I treat all my clients like family as that is how I got into doing this type of profession. I am a retired Recreation Therapist with my Master degree and 37 years of paid experience working with seniors. I have much training working with Alzheimer’s dementia. I live locally, am very kind and patient, am reliable, honest, dependable and am hard working. I can provide many activities to increase their quality of life; I also have 4 years of experience working in their home, as I am also a Certified Home Health Aide; I assist them with ADL skills, assisting them getting out of bed, getting washed, getting dressed, toiletting, eating, doing light house work, cooking, driving to appts and dispense medications. I'm a wonderful care giver and I have been in the medical field for 34+ years, I enjoy taking care of patients. I hope to someday returning to school and becoming an RN. I started caregiving right after I got out of high school. I have always loved it! I have worked different places as a caregiver and have been doing this for about eight yrs. I have worked at assisted livings, home care agencies and private care. I love helping people ! I'm very patient and compassionate with the people I work with. I am a very reliable worker .
