My passion began as a teenager, watching my mother operate a day program for mentally and physically challenged adults. I would spend early dismissal days at the program learning how to care and support adults who needed an extra hand. As I matured and ventured out into different career areas, I always seemed to end up back where I was most fulfilled and happy, which is caregiving. The rewards are in the smiles, milestones reached and surpassed and the trust that I build with the individuals and their families.
