Hi, My name is Maurie Ann. I earned a Bachelor's degree and completed the 15 hours of course work needed to work as a nursing facility administrator. I have been a caregiver since I was 7 years old. I have cared for both of my grandmothers, friends, neighbors, and many other clients. I also have worked 15 years in security. So, I have a very protective nature. I have cared for clients with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Psychosis, Schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, Heart Disease, COPD, AFIB, MS, Diabetes with and without insulin, Full assist, standby assist, live in and live out. I am a super friendly, caring, hardworking, problem solver, who loves deeply. I see my clients as family and treat them with the love and respect that I would want for my own loved ones. I got into private care because I saw what my grandma went thru (they nearly killed her) in her short stay at a rehab and vowed to make a difference in her life and others by caring for them, allowing them to stay home and be as independent, safe, and happy as possible. I am the friend, daughter, granddaughter, and helper. I do live-in at $225 per day, or shift work at $20 per hour (preferably 12 to 16 hour shifts). I really enjoy this field. I love people, and love caring for people and assisting them with their needs. I have been caring for 20 years through volunteer ministry, 8 years as a mother of a medically complex child with severe disabilities, and in working within the geriatric arena . It is extremely fulfilling work for me. I am also a very clean and organized individual, with a good driving record, as I help in those areas as well.

I started caregiving when I was 19 yrs old and fell in love with it! So hear I am 23 years later still caregiving and helping others. I feel its so rewarding helping others. In December of 2021 I received my certification to become an End of Life Doula.
