Being a caregiver has to come from your heart, bonding with the resident definitely helps, I have a very fun personality, goofy ,I love doing puzzles always a nice activity to enjoy with the resident.

I'm very charismatic and easy-going, I'll have you laughing in no time. I'm attentive and responsive, I pay attention to detail and I'm able to cope in high stress environments. The love for making sure others needs are are fulfilled is what attracted me to being a caregiver. I enjoy making sure my patient is happy, and heard most importantly. A personal achievement that I'm proud of is Current attend Lamar University, where I have a GPA of 3.4, I'm also killing the prerequisites and soon will be applying to the nursing program.

I have been a caregiver all my adult life. I raised three children, cared for my grandfather in his latter days and my mother-in-law when she fell ill. My clients are long term i am in it for the long haul. This is not my job it is my calling my passion. I prepare meals, outings, light housekeeping, ect. Anything they may need assistance with while maintaining dignity and Independence. I'm a people person responsible and dependable

I spent over ten years caring for a wonderful woman. It started out part time after her knee replacement. After a what turned into us both selling our homes and investing in a home in the country. I over saw all the remodeling as she walked with a walker and sometimes used a wheel chair. Our home was one story and 4400 Sq ft. So she was able to get through every door and into her shower. Actually both of could fit and she could sit while I bathed her. Her family had didn't have time for her so my children and my parents and family adopted her into ours. Needless to say we had many wonderful memories. Until covid came around. She caught it at trip to the ER for a mild stroke. The women I laughed with and yes sometimes we argued never came home again. She was a dear friend who I loved very much. And I miss that friendship, so my heart has healed some and I'm ready to find another friend that I can help make both our lives a little bit more sunny.
