I've worked in the healthcare field for 16+ years. I started out as a Certified Nursing Assistant, then worked my way to become a Certified Medication Aide. Over the last several years I also helped as Assistant Business Office Manager before later taking over as Business Office Manager at a facility I worked at. Sitting in that office working nonstop with no time to enjoy the conversation of the residents wasn't fun at all. Turns out it reminded just how much I truly love hearing stories of the elderly. Helping those who arent able to do the simplest tasks that you and I take for granted daily brings my heart such joy.

A personal achievement that I am extremely proud of was going to college to be a nurse. Although, if it had not been for my mothers help, I feel I would not have been able to finish. I think not really knowing my grandparents attracted me to being a caregiver. I sort of adopt grandparents along the way. I seem to have a passion caring for older adults. I have worked in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. I prefer to care for individuals in their own home, because I feel better care is given. I am a mother of 2 grown children and an empty nester, so I feel my entire focus will be to provide the best care for you or your loved one.

Since I was a child, I've loved helping other people. I enjoy working with people of all ages and circumstances. What excites me most about this position is the opportunity to help those with disabilities live happier, healthier lives. I think helping other people affects the local community positively, so I'd feel honored to accept such a vital role. Also caring for my grandma inspired me to become a caregiver. I cared for her for years, and through that experience, I learned that I'm passionate about helping people and improving the daily lives of those in need of care. Supporting my grandma taught me skills like patience, compassion and problem-solving. I learned how to address issues quickly and effectively to ensure my grandma was healthy and safe. While the work was challenging, improving my grandma's quality of life made it worthwhile. I'd love to apply my skills to help make the same impact at your organization. I'm interested in being a caregiver because I'd like to increase the amount of care the elderly and adults with disabilities population receives. As I learned through my previous health care experience, this population often benefits from caregivers who provide companionship and who pay attention to detail. This can help improve the daily lives of this population. I'd love to be a part of that effort through this position and help improve the kind of care this group receives. I have been doing this type of work for 25 years this is my earthly calling this is what God calls me to do.
