I've worked as a nurse assistant over 16 yrs caring for disabled, elderly, ill, and mentally challenged clients. I have worked in nursing home, hospital, home care, senior facility, respite care, private duty, direct care service, and hospice care, and trained in massage. I like to challenge myself as a caregiver with promoting new work skills. My time is giving care to others, that cannot do for themselves. My achievement is to see my three children succeed in the life that values them. For myself, to be recognized for my work performance, that's giving to each individual that has been cared for, show appreciation. I had several resident tell me that I'm wonderful, and I had a tearful moment. It's a blessing to hear positive thinking from a client. Although I am meticulous about client safety and well-being, I try to make sure clients are comfortable and enjoying their time with me. I'm very passionate about being a Caregiver. I never had the pleasure of meeting any of my grandparents so I have always wonder what it felt like. So being a Caregiver has introduced me to wonderful people. I have enjoyed baking cookies, listening to old love stories, as well as old war stories.
