I was raised up caring for people beginning in my own family. At the nudging of my mother, I became an LVN in 1985. After the passing of my father, I neglected to keep my LVN license current but remained in the field of caring. I enjoy helping others accomplish their day as well as family members observing positive change in a homebound loved one. I have a long history in caring which include but not limited to, psych care, dementia, hearing and vision impairment, physical disabilities and so on. I take my work seriously and respect individuals for who they are as well as what they may be going through.

I began a 501c non-profit foundation to grant the final wishes of seniors with less than a year to live with my mother"s inheritance to me. It has granted neatly 250 final wishes @ is reun by a 'Board of Director's' out of Antioch, CA. It is called 'An Elderly Wish Foundation.' I am widowed 2 years now @ spend my time independently employed to care for seniors. I am in excellent health @ do gym work-outs regularly. I like to 'meet' my clients before committing to their care. It is important for our relationship to be compatible, so I am 'clear' on their individual needs. I only want to work part time for one long term client...and would relocate my apartment closer to their city if the match was mutual. I am a strong Christian woman and I walk daily ' in Gods Word'

Hello: My name is Jo Washington, I am originally from Madisonville. I graduated from High School here and moved to Dallas, TX where I lived for 35 years. I moved back to Madisonville to care for my mother in 2012. She passed away in 2016, but I still reside here. I am currently a Supervisor at PRT Transportation. I enjoy being around the elderly to keep them company and supply what needs they may have.

I have previously cared for elderly clients with age related illnesses such as dementia and Alzheimer's as well as forms of cancer. I do not live-in, but I am located in Buffalo and am willing to travel a 30-50 mile radius. I can provide transport to and from doctor's appointments and keep detailed notes for the client as well as the family. I arrange and organize medications and daily routine charts if necessary, as well as preparing meals, toileting and bathing. I am a former EMT, 911 Dispatcher, and am CPR certified.
