Ive been a CNA for 20 yrs, received my license in North Carolina in 2001 and in Virginia in 2009. I believe the most important thing that makes me a great CNAs is patience and understanding. The reason why I became a CNA is I find joy in the elderly. They are knowledgeable, they make you laugh,and you can learn alot from them. I get great joy in seeing the smiles on their faces because they're pleased with me.

When I put myself in someone else's shoes, I can better gauge what types of care they need most. I have great communication skills and am loving, kind, caring, compassionate and most of all patient. I can do whatever it takes to make your loved one comfortable which includes lite cooking, cleaning, running errands, medication reminders, bathing /dressing, companionship and feeding if necessary. When a loved one went into rehab after being in the hospital and finding that the level of care he received while in the nursing home was awful I swore I would help those who needed genuinely good care. I was able to witness those who were not treated fairly and could not speak up for themselves in these homes and family members who were caught between a rock and a hard spot not being able to be there or care for their loved one in their home, my heart went out to them. I love helping people and putting a smile on someone's face. My cases have involved dealing with dementia patients, patients with mobility issues, bed ridden, hospice care and just someone who needs a friend to listen and someone who really cares about them. I am proud to say that those families that I have cared for have been very happy with my services That puts a smile on my face and says I've done a job well done.

Everybody is not fit for this line of work u have to be very Patient with some and Firm with others. U really have to have a Passion working with seniors, and I am one of the many people that take pride in my work. I'm very dependable, trustworthy, and Kindhearted. I will treat your family member like they were apart of my very own family. I love to bring joy into their lives and show compassion.

Hi my name is Tamirre but they call me sunshine because i brighting up days .what makes me a good caregiver is that I'm a very dependable person. I do things the right way and give my all in everything I do I'm also a very trustworthy . I had a coworker the suffers with cerebral palsy and was looking for an aid I was so excited and willing to jump right in with no hesitation, and after working for him for a year in a half I decided to go to school to get my personal care certificate in pct. Overall my greatest achievement is working for publix for twenty years providing premier service and now I'm soon to retire In November 2016. And now im looking forward to working another twenty years in caregiving

I'm a caring responsible and trustworthy person who believes that everyone is here for a reason and should be treated with love and respect, Just as Jesus taught us to Love one another, What attracted me to be a caregiver is my hope that someone will treat me with love and respect as I age,and I feel such a great achievement when I know I can help someone else ,by simply cooking their favorite food ,to changing there bed with Fresh Linen ,to even give them pedicures ,or just being there to listen to all of their Amazing Stories ,this is what God has called me to do!!!!

I feel like there are a lot of great caregivers out in the world but I feel like I stand out more so than others because I would treat my resident as if it was one of my own family members and provide the proper care PRN. I am also CNA certified. I became a care giver because I realized people are busy and they may not have the time to care for a loved one due to a lot of different things going on in their life and I can provide the best patient care. I love being a care giving because I come across different family's and it gives me a opportunity to to meet new people while helping out people as well.
