After raising four children I returned to school and became certified as a Home Health Aid, Nursing Assistant as well as Phlebotomy Tech. Hi my name is April. I have worked in this field since I was 15 I knew then that I loved taking care of people and that people loved me. I always have a good personality and a smile on my face. I took care of my grandfather at home until he passed away and also both of my parents. My father became paralyzed after a hunting trip and I brought him home and took care of him that's how I learned trach care and feeding tube care. And currently I have an uncle who has a mass in his throat and I've been taking care of him at home since last December he also has a trach and a feeding tube. I have always stepped up and brought my family members home to care for instead of being placed in a nursing home.There I know they always are short staffed and patients can't get the care they need like they can at a home setting with just one aide.

Certified in CPR PCA certified (Personal Care Aide) I love being a caregiver, I love helping anyone I can. I have helped take care of all of my grand parents and they were thankful enough to have family to care for them in their last days but iv always taken care of people who didnt have that and no one deserves to be alone at the end of life. My goal is to help them enjoy their last days weather its talking, reading, playing games, coloring or just being there to have someone to sit with them. I am now certified as a PCA personal care aide as well as CPR I plan to go to school to further my education so i can also work in nursing homes. I worked with a boy with autism for 8 years as well.
