I had the opportunity to take care of my parents when they were old and in doing this I realized how important it is to give a helping hand to People when they need it most My personal achievement that I'm proud of is the work experience in : Bed/Wheelchair Transfers, Dr's Appointments, medication reminders, walking, meal preparation, Errands, Transportation, Shopping, Alzheimer/Dementia and much more. I have worked as a live-in/live-out CNA caregiver, and in a facility. I have a high school diploma, current CPR, First Aid Medication Technician and CNA I have also taken care of children in a facility set up, as well as a family setup

My primary concern as a caregiver is to make sure that my client is able to function at the best of their ability and to make sure that they are having the highest quality of life that they are able to have. I am not only there for my client but I am also there for the family (such as: to let them go grocery shopping, are just to be another set of ears at doctor appointments or for the family. After a few days with the client and the family I begin to consider them family. I have a great amount of nurturing and empathy, some say I care to much but I give 150% to my clients and families. I enjoy order and dispensing medication, relating to my clients, enjoy the pass and working on family history. I have no parents or grandparents so my clients kind of fill these roles. I have been a first responder, EMT, CPR Instructor, nurse's aide, and medication aide. My personal achievement that I am most proud of is having a D.N.S. that I work with for a long time trust me to teach new nurse's the medication routine and to be a charge nurse. As a personal care giver the highest praise I can be given is for my client to tell me I must be an angel and that they love me.

I have a passion for helping others. I wanted to make a difference in the life of someone who was ill. Being able to bring some happiness to those in need. Being chosen as a lead aid, to be able to train new caregivers.

The knowledge of CNA and CMA, Over 10 years and the experience ,makes me a great caregiver. My great personalities are am honest, respectful and empathetic. As of October 4, 2022 I'm current with all COVID-19 vaccine shots and on Oct 4, 2022 I got the newest booster shot. I have been a IP ( Independent Provider ) Hospice/CNA nurse for 10 plus years now after obtaining my license in 2011. But been a caregiver for over twenty years now. My certification includes experience working with Dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Cancer, Autism, Mental Health, Nurse Delegation, Sundowner's, Stroke/Brain Bleed, Stroke with AFO brace, Cerebral Palsy, PSP ( Progressive Supranuclear Palsy) and Diabetes. I am CPR certified. I have my own transportation, non smoker, and have a clean driving record. I love working with people, but my passion is to work with senior citizens. I enjoy reading, cooking, scrapbooking, listening to music, love doing puzzles and playing with my three small dogs. I am handy in both house and yard work. The part I love most about what I do is the smiles and enjoyment that I can see on my clients faces from the care and help I give them. My most recent work has consisted of taking care of a ninety-six year old sweet lady with Dementia/cancer. I am a naturally caring person, who was raised by my grandparents, so I love and understand the elderly. I love hearing the stories of the past. I love getting to know the families and people involved in their lives. People are important and every person has value and a story to tell! I helped to take care of my grandmother as she was aging and I look back on that time w fond memories. Helping others stay in their home. Making someones life just a little bit easier can have great rewards. I took religion is college, of which I have 3 yrs. I have raised two children, and have been involved in my church over the years. I am now helping to raise two of my grandchildren which I adore! I am faithful and loyal, kind and gentle to others. I am honest and trustworthy.I love gardening, my grandchildren, and nature and all animals, especially cats and horses. In my younger years I was a CNA for about 10 years. Then helped my husband in the restaurant business for quite a few years, then went into janitorial at Hood River High Sch for awhile. I now have an additional 7 yrs (?) in caring for others. I love people! Now that I am a little older, I am enjoying taking care of the elderly and have a good understanding for what they need. I have been doing so for a number (10?) of years. I am a pretty easy going person to wk with.
