I have been a Home Health Care Specialist for more than 10 years. I started caring for my mom and decided that caring for Seniors is what I love to do. I am blessed to have a chance to make a difference in someone's life. My experience is pretty rounded in that I have worked with clients from 22 to 98; with all types of care needs. I have done companion care and live-in care as well. I am kind, patient, empathetic, and people feel comfortable talking to me. I am a great listener. Healthy meals and exercise is very important.Caring for clients and assuring their safety In depth knowledge of various medical terminologies,checking vital signs for clients and their daily monitoring, administrating medication on time. Maintaining privacy for client. I became a care provider because when I worked in a nursing home as a server, their was a elderly women that was sick i felt the need to help her. I was told I could not help because I was not a caregiver. I helped her on my break; she thank me the next day.I put my two weeks in and applied as a care provider.It makes me happy then I can help residents with there activities of daily living; providing mental and physical stimulation.

I am a licensed CNA with over 17 year's experience as both an hourly and an in-home 24 hour caregiver. I have many year's experience in other related healthcare fields as well and am also a Licensed Veterinary Technician. I have Nurse Delegation certification, BLS/HCP CPR and First Aid cards, as well as Mental Health certification. The last 2 1/2 years I've worked with predominantly one client providing care for all the activities of daily living (including transportation) and companionship as well as acting as a healthcare advocate. I've also spent 4 years with an Alzheimer's client providing in home care including physical therapy assistance and hospice. As a side note, I have learned tremendously for 5 years the many aspects of case management acting as a POA and Healthcare Representative/Advocate/Case Manager for a family member and other clients so am able to provide those kind of services as well if needed. I previously worked as a Veterinary Technician for 16 years and in a prior position provided at home medical care for my client's pet as well. I can also provide Clerical Support as in prior positions I reviewed/maintained medical and other records, facility admission/release forms and contracts, mental health assessments, legal documents, and auto and homeowner's insurance policies.
