Being her companion as a daughter and a caregiver really gave me joy and allowed me to recognize my purpose at a young age. I love what I do and I take proud in helping those in need. I guess the main question would be why should I be a good candidate for the position offered. Hello, my name is Katie, but everyone calls me Kate! I had passed my CNA exam when I was in high school, but unfortunately where I have not been in the nursing field in a little while my license had expired. I had worked at the nursing home in the town I had grown up in, but when my grandmother had gotten sick I had discontinued working there to be with her around the clock to ensure she had gotten the care she needed. Even though my CNA license had expired I would not have changed anything, because of the decision I had made to care for my grandmother in her last years I was able to make sure she was given the care she needed. I have years of experience caring for elderly wether it was caring for residents at the nursing home, previous clients, or taking care of family, friends, and neighbors. I am a very outgoing person who tries everything I can to engage my client in daily activities, encouraging them to do the best they can with any task at hand with me right by their side every step of the way, and I try with everything in me to make their lives more enjoyable and less worrisome in any way possible! I really miss caring for others as it made me feel whole and like I had a meaningful purpose to my life! Getting to know a client on a one on one basis helps me make sure they get the exact care needed and I am able to help them work on their goals and get to know how/what helps each individual person better to make sure their lives are more fulfilled. Also, being one on one with a regular client I learn their habits, moods, and it makes it easier to detect signs of change. My clients/ residents had become like family that I had in the past and I would love to have that extended family once again with clients! To me, it's not just a job, I am caring for someone's grandparent/parent and want to be there for not only the client but the family as well as some days can be extremely difficult for everyone but hopefully more days are wonderful than not!

I have great compassion for people especially our elderly and vets. I enjoy helping and being there for my people in need. I have sympathy and empathy for people . I understand how it is. For both patients and the pressure it puts on the family especially the ones who have to do the caregiving. I am also a very patient with people. Working in a memory care facility I've learned how to deal with the special needs of those kind of patients.

I am 22, I have a 2 year old daughter. I have done nursing for almost 6 years. I love to help people achieve and make personal care and other goals! I have wanted to be a caregiver since I was little, I have lots of family in nursing and I plan to start nursing school to become an RN soon! It takes a special person to take care of others!

I am very dependable,out going, love helping others,I enjoy working as a CNA because everything is hands on. I've worked as a CNA and caregiver since my senior year in high school in 2004 didn't renew my certification because the passing of my mother. I'm very goal oriented wanted to take the LPN program last year in 2016 but was diagnosed with breast cancer. I'm doing well now and just want to continue doing what I love to do.

I've been a caregiver since 2005 for private and nursing facities I have my CNA license there are lapsed right now ...but I have done alot of private care and I enjoy the private care over nursing homes or hospitals because you have the time to get too know your clients and have the time to do everything for them that they need even becoming friends with them and there familys.
