1. I am not yet a Caregiver, but I have been a caregiver for years. Past employments in the field of Human Services have benefited from my innate compassion for those in need and I have gained from them a knowledge of how to ensure the safety and usefulness of my caring nature. 2. I would like to be a Caregiver because I know I felt fulfilled when I worked in a group home for disabled individuals. God has given me so much and I have a responsibility to lovingly assist those who can benefit from my aid. 3. I am proud of graduating college (UConn '09). I assumed that I would finish college and I was certainly on track to do so until I was in a serious car wreck the summer before my senior year. I was incredibly blessed to regain the ability to be a student and to be allowed to complete my last seven classes while I lived at home ( I was not able to live by myself.) The fact that I almost did not graduate makes me value it and take pride in it. 4. I am determined. I do everything in my power to complete the assignments I am given. In Human Services, I have seen that attempts done with love are the most successful, so I often use a spirit of love to accomplish what I'm charged with.
