* I have been in the medical field for over 10 years and have been a Direct Care Supervisor for over 5 years. * Responsible for training staff (4-8) on Personal Care, OT, PT and Eating guidelines and protocols and any other pertinent information concerning our individuals' everyday needs. * MAP certified and staff training of med administration, to our individuals by staff. * Manage and oversee any issues with the house, regarding safety for the individuals and staff. * Work closely with nursing to ensure individuals' personal hygiene, medical needs and other related medical assessments, are met. * Work with DDS and other government agencies to ensure the Individuals needs of a normal, functional and productive life are identified. * Managed and allocate Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Logs for Petty Cash and House spending budgets. * Manage and maintain Staff Attendance Log, Call Outs/Tardiness Log, Monthly Shopping Log, House Supplies Log, Maintenance/Repair Logs and Credit Card Log. * Maintain and relay daily reports of house issues and concerns to Director, House Manager and other Supervisors and staff. * Manage the maintenance and up keep of the company's vehicles. * Involved in all ISP (Individual Service Plan) meetings and goals to create an environment where the Individuals needs, wants and desires are identified. * Assisted with feeding and recreational skills. I became interested in the health field after seeing the sufferation that my elderly family members went through. I personally would not like to know that there will be no one to just talk to when I reach my elderly age. I enjoy the look on there faces when I do something that they enjoy or treat them with the respect that they deserve as elders in our community. I am proud of the fact that I can make a difference in someones life, even if it is just for a few hours.
