What makes me a great caregiver is the love and passion that I have for this job and taking care of others. The reason why I became a caregiver is because of several reason my grandmother was diagnosis with cancer and no matter what i never left have side when she was sick, my grandmother eventually past away. But even before she had cancer i had a very strong love for elderly people. They didnt choose the lifestyle or predicament that they are in. No matter what I always treat them like they are my own family members. My residents that i have taken care of brings great joy to my life. If one of them past away which i have been in the circumstance before i cried my eyes out because the bond that i made with these people is something that can not be explained. What i like most about being a caregiver is helping other and putting a smile not only on my residents faces but always their family members. Thats my greatest rewards from working as a CNA. Even when i have mornings where i dont want to go to work i have to jump up because they are my family members and its up to me to take care of them. No one can take care of my peoples like how i can. A personal achievement that i am very proud of is having someone that was dementia and Alzheimer remember my name. Everyday there are certain residents that knows who i am by heart.
