I believe that serving others is my purpose in life. It gives me pleasure to take away someone’s trouble and be an agent of change. A caregiver position is an opportunity to be able to make a difference and I like the internal peace and satisfaction that comes with caring for others. I am particularly proud of my ability to strive in my former postition as an assistant manager at a group home. I was able to meet the various needs and demands of each resident. Most residents did not have much family involvement so it gave me such joy to bring a sense of family and make the facility feel more like home. I have worked in the human service field for my entire career. First as a job coach then rehabilation associate. the main objective was help clients secure and maintain employment. As mentioned previously , I worked as an assistant manager for a residential facility for 4 years. mainly serving individuals with developmental delays and mental health diagnosis. Currently, I am a counselor for teenagers with an eating disorder. I am a certified nursing assistant and I am looking for my next opportunity to serve.
