About Meghan

My name is Meghan Davey an I became a caregiver because I love to care foe people an to make them feel better. I decided to become a caregiver when my grandfather became ill with lung cancer. My grandmother is a LPN an my mother is a P.C.A. so when he feel terminally ill she kept him home an I was by his side the whole time. I would help give him his medication an help him eat, etc. I knew I wanted to go to school for some kind of nursing. One of my achievements I'm proud of is being a single mother an raising a wonderful young lady. Something about myself is I get such a wonderful feeling when I know I helped some one, whether it's helping someone get better or if it's helping the family through the hardest time in their lives. I always treat my residents as if they were my own grandparents or parents. Every one of my jobs that I've had I always left happy with a smile on my face at the end of the day, I can honestly say I never left my job in a bad mood or unhappy, unless one of my patients happened to have passed away that day then obviously I would leave very upset. I just want to stress how much I really do LOVE being a Caregiver. Thank you.

Mrs. Perlini's husband was a Hospice Case. I would check to make sure he was dry, if not I would change his brief an bed pad. I would then check Mr. Perlini's vitals, then always make sure that he was hydrated he wasn't eating anymore at that point so I would make sure his mouth was always swabbed an if he was awake I would give him drinks. Then I would make sure his position was changed every two hours to prevent bed sores.
