My name is Julie and I am currently a nursing student. Two of my sisters are nurses and I always found their job interesting. I first "officially" became a caregiver when I met an elderly man in my building who needed some assistance. It started out with me just bringing home special food for his cat since I worked at an animal hospital. We continued our friendship even after he moved into an assisted living facility. His family then hired me for a time after he had surgery. My last job as a CNA was taking care of a 101 year old woman. She just passed away last month. We were together for over 5 years and she was a remarkable woman. I am still close with her family. I am currently looking for a part time or per diem job while I am in school.
