I started taking care of my grandparents when I was about 12 years old. My grandmother has been through many heart and knee surgeries and faced breast cancer. My grandfather has dementia and is a Diabetic. I took on the roles of cleaning and feeding and running there daily errands everyday after school and also on the weekends. As I got older I realize how much of a difference I can make in someone else's life with providing my skills. I was able to help my stubborn grandfather maintain a healthy diet and to rememeber to take his meds
