What makes me a great caregiver is my compassion. I treat my clients how I would treat my loved one. I have patience, maturity, respect, honesty, good listening skills, and reliability. I became a caregiver 6 years ago after my grandmother got really ill and needed a caregiver, I didn't like the way she treated my grandmother so I decided to take on the job as her caregiver until she got better and loved it so much that I decided to do the Hha training and become a certified Hha. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is knowing that I'm helping someone who isn't capable of doing it on their own and still giving them their independence and dignity. Putting smiles on my clients faces and giving them relief of worry and fear is what I enjoy doing. A personal achievement I am proud of is the experience, maturity and knowledge I've gained from working with elderly people.
