I am a very caring, kind, intelligent, respectful, and responsible. As for what attracted me to be a care giver is I see so many articles and shows on tv showing all of these residents being abused and it broke my heart and I wanted to make a difference so I decided to go to a technical high school were I got my CNA as well as all of my other certifications. What I enjoy most about being a care giver is the smiles I get when I do even the littlest thing s for my residents I am not saying it is always easy or picture perfect but I think of my residents as family members and treat them exactly how I would treat my own family member because you always have to think they did not ask to be in there situation and that is what I always refer back to. One of my personal achievements that I am proud of is I went to a technical high school and got all of my certifications there and now am currently attending a university to further my education while working per diem. As well as currently looking for a full time job so I can continue helping people while also saving money for college.

I usually work the night shift so with my residents I put them into bed either using sara lift or the hoyer. I then feed them supper as well as change and reposition them every 2 hours. I give my residents showers when it is there shower day or bed baths if they are not able to get out of bed. For certifications I have my CNA license as well as CARES dementia training, Mental Health first Aide, OSHA 10 and am CPR and first Aide certified.
