In 2011 my grandmother became ill due to Lung Cancer. I was very afraid to lose her. So at that moment I decided to help her and others in need that are suffering and disabled. Being around her and the nurse that supported her helped me gain knowledge and very much interest. I have learned the importance of patience being around those who are not capable of moving on the same pace I move. Over the years I have become a very mature and experienced caregiver. The most important characteristic for me being a great caregiver is having empathy. I show understanding from the heart and will be sensitive to every situation like it was my own.
