I am a 53 year old CNA. I became a full time caregiver after taking care of my mom (CHF and cancer) and my aunt (Dementia and legally blind). While taking care of them, I realized how hard it is to find an experienced, caring, compassionate and trustworthy caregiver. I am such a person....so I became the caregiver that I wouldve wanted for my mom and aunt. I have taken care of people ages 8 to 93....with diagnosises ranging from Muscular Dystrophy, Cerebral Palsy, Dementia, Quadeiplegia, Tetraplegia and Paraplegia. And I am also skilled with a variety of adaptive equipment. Three of nicest compliments that I have ever received as a caregiver were when people have told me what a difference I make in their lives, when one lady told my sister that she loves me , like she loves her own daughters, and when a navy officer (whose grandmother I took care of) told me that I was 'one of God's special angels.'
