I have been a caregiver for 20+ years. I have continued my education as well. I love working with a diverse group of clients. I work with the elderly and mentally disabled from children to adults. I believe that it has always been my purpose. I am very respectful, compassionate and caring. I am also patient, responsible and trustworthy.

I started being a caregiver when I was 19 years old my grandmother had a stroke and I took care of her. I have a daughter that needed a liver transplant at 5 month old. Unfortunately she got cancer at three years old from the inner rejection medicine . My husband got cancer about 12 years agoI taking care of him. Worked in a memory care facility. I have my food handling card CPR card and first aide. I'm certified in dementia and Alzheimer's .

I have always loved caring for others, even as a child. I started working in a Adult Care home in my late 20s and found my passion! I have owned 2 assisted living homes and a Senior Daycare. I have tried other occupations and have always come back to caregiving. I also work with Alzheimers and dementia patients. I am very loving, kind, and patient. The most rewarding about care giving is when it felt like there is some sort of purpose in my work. There is a great opportunity to really get me to engage and have the routine like I am doing something bigger than myself because at the end of the day that is where I am going, going more towards what am I doing that is impacting others, how am I helping them because at the end of the day that is what I want to do. I want to help people and I want to be there to provide a service and really help those out who are in need.

I want to make the elder live a happily and comfortable for what's left for their lives and enjoy their home instead of being in a nursing home facility. I enjoy my work; I do it with the best attitude. What I like the most about my job is that my clients are satisfied with my services. Is that they smile and they are comfortable and happy. I like to be a supplier for their essential necessities.

Hello All! I am 20 years old and I absolutely love being a caregiver and am currently looking to pursue my CNA license so that I can better help my clients from a medical aspect. My most memorable experience as a caregiver has been working with a wonderful dialysis patient and helping to educate her family members and myself more about how to live a healthy and happy life while receiving hemodialysis. I was able to create an effective diet and work hand in hand with the dialysis clinic! Truly the most rewarding part of being a caregiver is the smiles I get to see everyday when my clients are happy because they have some stress relieved. I started with the State of California taking certification classes to help someone needing double hip replacements and couldn't walk and was recovering from breast cancer. Today, she is a walking survivor! Next I joined Phoenix Health Care and took classes on immobile patients such as transferring and changing bedding. I was sent to several different situations including a hospice patient. My last position was with an elderly woman in her home that had several serious issues, one of which was COPD. It became a joyful experience when, after working with her diet and routines, that she actually became symptom free and actually wanted to participate in activities again. Caregiving became a lifestyle for me and I was honored to be able to help in any way that was needed because I could.
