My name is Gayle Lusk but I go by "Lisa", I have lived in Auberry for many years and very proud of my community. I am a compassionate and caring person. My main priority is to my clients. I have been taking care of the elderly, special needs, adults & children for over 30 years. I have a big heart and I always make my clients very happy. The best part of caring for someone is seeing them laugh and enjoying my time with them. I have worked for Foothill Elementary School since 2019 and I enjoy working with the children and watching them grow. I prefer not to work weekends but in a pinch, I would. I am fluent in Spanish and I speak basic English.

I have been a caregiver off and on for the last 25 years. My traits and caregiver experience come from me having to learn to care for my husband after his stroke. I had to learn to do certain exercises. Had to help him through his therapies. Also, had to learn certain diets due to his diabetes. I have gained experience in caring for him. Meaning, baths, feeding, grooming, having to apply caterers, rectal medicine, Etc. Also, had the privilege to help my mother through her cancer experience. I enjoy and take pride in caring for others.

What makes me a great care giver is having a lot of patience. I am compassionate and truly care about the people I help. I found caretaking came naturally, it found me in a way and I've enjoyed it since. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is bringing joy to those who have a difficult time or who are not able at all to go and find joy on their own. I am proud of my latest equestrian challenge of training my own Arab for an endurance race and finishing with the first group.
