I Enjoy making people's lives easier for them. Making sure that they have their dignity and still feel that they are in charge of their own home. Not go in and take over. Having a good relationship with who I help means so much. The reason in 1990 that I became a Caregiver was My Mom had breast cancer and I wanted to be the best I could be to take care of her. After My Mom passed away in 1993. I went back to another profession until 2008, since then I have had many Sweet Clients that will always be in My Heart[?] I am a Spoiler but know that whatever the Family and Professionals recommend is what should be done, and am Happy to fulfill what the needs are for this Special Client

Hi there, My name is Sandy and I am 44 years old . I am a mother of 3 amazing young boys and a caretaker by heart. I have worked in the medical field for over 20 years and currently hold a position as a patient registration specialist /financial counselor at the local hospital after working for a local internist as a medical assistant for 13 years. I also earned my certified nursing certificate in 2004 . I have worked in convalescent homes, doctors offices as well as private homes. I am a very compassionate person and is sensitive to each individual needs. I am very organized , trustworthy and responsible and have excellent references. I can do light house work, yard work and errands as necessary. Since I am a mother of 3 boys , I have a sense of humor and thick skin when needed. I have seen it all as I have worked in all kinds of medical facilities so no need to be embarrassed or ask me for my help.

I enjoy caregiver because it is a chance to bond with another while assisting them in keeping their independence. The elderly have the wisdom of experience and I appreciate learning their stories. I believe we are all connected and a little bit of support can go a long way in bringing contentment to our lives.

I am a very upbeat and happy person. I love to make people smile, laugh and enjoy life. I am kind, patient, dependable, honest, trustworthy, gentle, hard working, intelligent, compassionate, understanding, and have a great sense of humor. I love animals, all of them! My favorite place to be is outdoors, primarily hiking and swimming. I truly enjoy meeting new people. I also love spending time with my family, friends, and pets. I enjoy reading, writing, board and card games, movies, cleaning, cooking. When my fraternal grandmother entered a care home when I was 12, I went to visit her every day. I was shocked to see how many elderly patients had no one who visited them. So I unofficially became a volunteer and would visit other residents; reading to them, talking, playing games, dancing, whatever brought a little joy back into their lives. Caregiving has been a part of my life ever since. I took care of my maternal grandmother who had severe rheumatoid arthritis and Dementia in her home until she passed away. I then moved my mother in with me when she was first diagnosed with Alzheimers and cared for her until her death 10 years later. I also cared for one of my brothers who was diagnosed with end stage Dementia at the age of 58 and passed away right before his 61st birthday. So I completely understand what loved ones must go through as family members become older, sick, or suffer from an injury. What I enjoy most about being a Caregiver is simply helping someone who needs it, especially if it allows them to remain in their own home. A personal achievement that I am proud of is raising such loving, kind, respectful, and amazing children.

I am very passionate about helping elder people as I grew up and close to my family Grand parents and always love to take care helping their Daily needs and companionship. I felt very Good about it to work with elderly. I love what I do in helping each client I've ever worked with. Taking care of sick people that needs my help gives me joy in my heart and it let me know they need people to work with them that care.
