I think I was born to be a caregiver. I started out running my own daycare out of my home. When my parents were elderly I took care of them. I took in foster children and also did Options for recovery and took in new borns that were exposed to drugs due to their parents addiction. I've had many caregiver jobs plus worked with mentally disabled adults. I'm very compassionate and treat my clients as family. People say I have a calming way when it comes dementia and Alzheimer's clients. I love my work wholeheartedly. My mom always told me find a job that you love and you'll never work a day in your life !

I started my caregiver journey with my dad in 2001, learning from the ground up I gain knowledge in the aging field and how to provide comfort and joy in a elder's daily life. From there, I joined a continuing care facility and spent the the next 11 years gaining additional knowledge (RCFE and NHA Licensed). I place myself in the senior's shoes to understand what their expectations are and how I can be a partner in helping them navigate this uncertain journey.
