I started my career as a care giver when I was 18 being a hard worker reliable an trustworthy helps me to be a good care provider. I love hearing their stories they have about their life. My mom is how I got into care giving she worked at a care home that let me come in an play bingo with the residents I loved it an I was a teenager then.

I have more then 5 years of experience working as a CNA and a live in caregiver for home care agencies and have worked in nursing/retirement homes as well. Dependability, reliability, kindness, empathy, calm nature are few of my strongest traits in taking care of my loved ones. I grew up with my grandparents and naturally we take care of our own as it is a cultural thing. I love being around seniors and assist in whatever way I can as they remind me so much of my grandparents who lovingly took cared of us. My Mother steered me in this direction when I was around 8 years old, by having me help her older friend that was just discharged from the hospital & Caregiving has been my calling since. I am patient, a good listener and enjoy working closely with others - especially older people. I have many personal experience taking care of the elderly & loved every second of it. Being able to help those is need is the only thing I want to do. Checking on your senior loved one's health is an important caregiver responsibility that I can fulfill with no hesitation. I have over a year experience in this field. At the age of 17, before turning 18 my grandmother was diagnosed with cancer and shortly placed on hospice. While being placed on hospice, I was the only one who took care of her, with this came along providing care for her 24/7. Not only was she on hospice but she was also diagnosed with dementia which stopped her from doing her daily needs. I would provide assistance with cooking, cleaning & giving medication as prescribed until she passed. In 2021, I was a home care provider assisting my mother who worked for IHSS. Took turns giving care for my aunt who is mentally disabled. She is 49 with the mindset of a 2 year old. 24 hour care is needed to help support her daily needs. Tasks included changing diaper, feeding her, give medication as prescribed & taking her out for her daily exercise which included morning walks.
