I'm a mother of 5 and grandmother to 13. I've worked as a caregiver for the last 15+ years and counting. I love my clients and working with the elderly. What started out as a job became second nature and probably alot of that has to do with my cultural background. I loved it so much, I paid for my own training and certifications to be an independent caregiver. I got bonded, insured and registered with the state and I have several great references from the loving families of those whom I have cared for over the years. I've had great experiences with those who I have worked for and with, along with learning from wonderful nurses and doctors that I've interacted with during the care of many of my clients. I am very proud of the achievements I've made in taking the initiative to learn as I go with each client, and each client came with various conditions and ailments, and some with multiple conditions. It has been a great journey of growth and connection for me like no other and I find it so fulfilling to be able to help our elderly population in need. They have been all like family.

Personally to be a successful caregiver I feel you have to be very dependable, my clients know that I'm willing to do anything to make sure they are happy & satisfied with my work. Confidence is important as well, making your client look & feel good about themselves is something I always strive to do! Lastly being trustworthy and building genuine connections with my clients is also a staple to being a successful caregiver. I'm very passionate in what I do & I'm always willing to help in any way that I can!

About me, I always wanted to be a registered nurse since I was a little girl. I didn't get that far the goal was to take care of people. I love what I do.
