My name is Arlette, My journey working with seniors started when I cared for my grandmother when she needed the help about 10 years ago. After that I noticed I enjoyed caring for the elderly and spending time with them. I love listening to their stories and learning from their experiences. I see them and treat them as my family. I like to help them get the best quality of life under their circumstances. I feel a sense of accomplishment every time it's time for me to leave their house and they have a smile on their faces. That lets me know they are happy and feel safe under my care. I have worked with people suffering from different illness like: Alzheimer's and dementia, cancer, hospice, C Diff. I like to have a good and close relationship with my client's families and work together with them. I can provide letters of recommendation if they are needed.

I'm a patient person and very understanding, I love helping ppl that's one reason I chose this type of work, it's very self rewarding, what I enjoy the most about being a care giver is helping ppl with the most patience and affection,personal achievement I'm most proud of is sharing my time with the patient and making her feel like there's someone that cares about her and is there for her in whatever she needs.

I became a caregiver in August 2009 for my father, Brian. After a series of tests my father was diagnosed with early - stage of cancer. I cared for her for two years and I feel I've found my calling. I am, by nature, a very nurturing person so I'm in my element as a caregiver. I have excellent work ethics, I'm organized and very easy to get along with. I have a great respect for the elderly because they have paved the way for me and my children. I only pray that when my time comes, my children will take as good a care of me.
