Hello my name is Ashley. I have lived out in the country my whole life. I grew up helping my parents at Comitis Crisis Center. I have always been heavily involved in helping the less fortunate in the community. When I grew up I knew I wanted to continue helping people through healthcare. I am patient, caring and compassionate. I have always enjoyed my rotations in nursing homes and rehab facilities. I enjoy helping my patients thrive in their environment. My goal is to help keep my patients as independent as possible. I have helped a variety of patients ranging from disabled patients, cancer patients, rehab patients, and end of life care. My personal achievement I am proud of is completing my Practical Nursing Degree. I am continuing my education to become a Registered Nurse.

I have compassion and a heart for those who struggle, whether it be from injury, illness or just the aging process. I am very attentive and observant to the needs of the people that are in my care. I work very hard and am thorough in my duties. I am also, reliable and responsible. From the time I was little I have wanted to be a nurse. That desire has been cultivated through my life and experiences with watching and helping care for both of my grandparents struggle and pass away from cancer. During this process I spent many hours in hospitals and rehab, observing the caregivers they had and being blessed by the good ones. I enjoy the feeling of helping people in their times of their biggest need, whether it be physical or emotional. Feeling like I can make a difference in someone's life is my biggest blessing. I have recently graduated from high school, having all of my college prerequisites done for nursing school and in the process obtained my CNA and have been working with that in a nursing home.

I enjoy the opportunity to impact clients' lives and make a difference to them. I appreciate the chance to get to know clients and their families and become an integral part of their lives. Person-centered care promotes choice, purpose and meaning in daily life where one is supported in achieving the level of physical, mental and social well-being . This goal honors the importance of keeping the person at the center of the care planning and decision-making process. In person directed care, individual choice directs lifestyle, care, systems and daily routine.

I enjoy being a caregiver to people who need extra help to remain on their homes. I have over 20 years experience in healthcare. I have recently started in home health. I think this is a great way to help people where they are most comfortable.

I have compassion for everyone, I show it by being reliable, having accountability, fulfilling all duties using my time management skills. I respect patients privacy, and I'm very forgiving while always keep a positive demeanor/tone of voice. I started as a caregiver because it's rewarding, and I enjoy providing support for those who need it the most. My proudest achievement to date is getting a 98% on my QMAP test.

I've been working in the care industry for a few years now and it's grown to be one of my passions, my clients love to have me as I'm very patient and listen to what they have to say/do. I enjoy helping others in daily activities they cannot do themselves.

I love the work, caring for and working with people. Being a C. N. A is not an easy job. You need to be attentive; sensitive to people’s needs and have a drive to address their needs in an utmost concerned manner. It is one of those jobs, It's not always appreciated by people however it is self rewarding. It may require long working hours and often, one must overlook one’s needs and cater to patients.

Im very outgoing, friendly, detail oriented, and caring. I don't have a degree but my studies in psychology have helped me operate in a perspective of deep understanding. I have grandparents who are suffering through dementia, and family members who needed open wound care. I've volunteered for holiday events at senior communities and I also have experience in first aid, disaster training, wound care/preventative treatment. It was tough seeing my mother in need of an attentive caregiver who really understood her needs and wants so I take work with my clients personally, no one should worry if their caregiver is caring enough.
