I have compassion and a heart for those who struggle, whether it be from injury, illness or just the aging process. I am very attentive and observant to the needs of the people that are in my care. I work very hard and am thorough in my duties. I am also, reliable and responsible. From the time I was little I have wanted to be a nurse. That desire has been cultivated through my life and experiences with watching and helping care for both of my grandparents struggle and pass away from cancer. During this process I spent many hours in hospitals and rehab, observing the caregivers they had and being blessed by the good ones. I enjoy the feeling of helping people in their times of their biggest need, whether it be physical or emotional. Feeling like I can make a difference in someone's life is my biggest blessing. I have recently graduated from high school, having all of my college prerequisites done for nursing school and in the process obtained my CNA and have been working with that in a nursing home.

I think what most makes me an excellent caregiver is my patience and passion for good care, the people closest to me say I'm a little too empathetic sometimes even though I can come off as blunt at first impression. What attracted me to being a caregiver was wanting to make sure I was able to take care of the people I love some day. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the bonds I get to make and the incredible people I meet. One of my biggest personal achievements I'm most proud of is my family, the kids I raised and the support system I have built around myself.

I am a certified nurses assistant with 20yrs of experience with home health care, skilled nursing to include Alzheimers Wing/Hospice and Palliative care. I work full time with Cochlear Americas as a billing specialist. I miss patient care and would love to be able to help out someone in need around my residence.

I am hard working motivated caring I show compassion and empathy to all the people I have met. I find it truly rewarding and a calling in being able to make a difference in people's life's it is truly an honor. The sense of pride I feel when I know I made a difference in helping someone who just needed help when life happens. Graduating College America and getting my associates degree has allowed me to understand why I am here on earth which to help others and make a difference.

I have been a care giver for the past 10 years. To be honest I never thought this was a field I would have been this dedicated to, however this is now my passion. I spent the past 10 years working for an assisted/independent living facility and have had the pleasure of helping my residents in all facets of their daily lives. I started working for my facility part time as a resident care assistant. Within my first year I joined on as full time. A couple years later i became the lead floor supervisor. A few more years after that, I also became the business office manager. I was also the back up designee administrator to the facility, which required me to know all aspects of my facility including ADPH (Alabama Department of Health) rules and regulations for my facility. I have worked with PT/OT/SP therapists while they were in my facility. I have also worked with hospice as needed for my residents. I enjoy working with seniors, they have so much to offer.
