I am the 40 year old wife, and mother of 2 beautiful teenage girls. I have been working as a caregiver for over 6 years, and have been Certified for 5 years. I am currently a self employed Certified Nursing Assistant. I have been employed at a skilled nursing facility as well as an assisted living facility. I also specialize in private care. Some of my skills include bathing, showering, checking and changing undergarments, providing proper hygiene, ambulating, transfers, mouthcare, feeding, light housekeeping, meal preperation, transportation and much more. I am a caregiver that is compassionate at what I do and it is not just a job for me, it is my calling. So many people are in this field and do not genuinely care, but I like to make a difference in my clients lives and form a forever bond with my residents and their family members. I have experienced a lot being a caregiver, good and bad, but I honestly love what I do. I have lots of experience, and many families that I have worked with adore me. I am proud that I put forth an effort to become certified in what I do. It really does make a difference and shows that I maintain the necessary skills and training. I'm a Tallahassee native, mother, and wife. My hobbies include online shopping, strolling around lake ella, and cooking basic meals. I recently have taken up sewing and gardening I'm a beginner so I'm still learning . I'd like to think I'm reliable I've been told I'm worth my weight in gold. I think I would be a good match for someone that is easy going, have a routine schedule, or a written out planned day by day script. I enjoy quiet time, and repetitive activities in this day and age I don't think it is wise to be sporadic or spontaneous . The thing that makes me a great caregiver is, my personality. I became a caregiver because, it's deeply rooted into my family. The thing I like most about being a caregiver is,all the love.

What makes me a great caregiver I love what I do, I have patients with the clients, I'm a great listener. I try to make them has comfortable in there own home and being safe. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is making them happy and that they can trust me and that I'm here for them they are my number one priority. My personal achievement was when I was able to caught my client from falling.

In my 30 plus years of work experience I have developed excellent customer service skills, critical thinking skills and problem solving skills. I am very punctual, organized and detail-oriented. I have 11 years of Vent Unit experience and 1 1/2 years of Rehab Unit experience. Growing up I was always one to take care of others. I like to see and help my patients and make sure they are comfortable. I like to hold conversations with them and listen to there life experiences. I am personally proud of being able to be there for my patients, encourage them along whatever there specific journey is and be a hand to hold and a shoulder to cry on.

I'm caring,compassionate, and I have a passion for working with the elderly. At an early age I began volunteering at the nursing home where my mother worked. I would help my mother assist residents on outings such as picnics,parades, fair,fishing trips and shopping. I like spending time and taking care of people. Helping them become rehabilitated if needed so that they can return home to their normal routine. I like being an active listener and assisting people with their needs. My personal achievement was going to college and becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant so that I would be able to work in a licensed facility taking care of others.

I first started the home health career when I started taking care of my father in 2005. After he passed away in 2011 I realized that I had a passion for helping people and that this is what I wanted to do for a career. I recently lost my patient of five years and decided to go back to school. I am currently attending school to achieve my AS in Medical Assisting. I have been on the Dean's list every semester so far and hope to graduate in October of 2020. I love making my patients smile and reassuring them that they are special in every way.
