What makes me a great caregiver is that I strongly care for others and their well being. I'm reliable, I'm very understanding. I try my best to fulfill every given task that is brought upon me. I'm a great motivation person. I enjoy being their as a friend that's one main reason I became a caregiver. My name is Cristin Philpot, I am 19 years old... I graduated from auburn high class of 2021, I am now going to Southern Union State Community College. I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where you have one-on-one interaction with others. I also enjoy taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way.

I have 4 years experience in caregiving. I have worked for companies and have also done personal caregiving. I've cared for my own family members and clients that became like family. I treat each client and their family as if I've always known them and they can be comfortable with me, knowing they can trust me. I have experience in hospice care as well as dementia and alzheimer's patients. I love being a caregiver because it gives me the chance to make a difference in people's lives and help out where others can't or don't have the ability to do so. I've held many hands as they took their last breath and been there to help the family through it. My grandmother was a nursing assistant and I would always go to work with her when I was younger which sparked my interest in caring for others. I have a very compassionate heart and caring personality which causes me to go above and beyond for my clients. Helping people and making a difference in their lives is a real passion of mine and I plan to do it for as long as I can. I'm dependable, trustworthy and someone you can always count on.

I became a caregiver because I had always wanted to be a nurse when I was younger. Also, my best friend/sister-in-law became very ill at an early age and I had wanted to take care of her but never got the chance as she passed away at age 44. My mom also became ill shortly thereafter and I promised that she would never go to a nursing home. My intention was to care for her in my home, but unfortunately she never made it home from the hospital. I vowed that if I could not help my own family then I would help someone else. I love being able to help people stay in their homes as long as possible and having the family reassured that their loved ones are being cared for in their absence. My personal achievements that I am proud of are being with two of my clients until the end of their life and knowing that I made things a bit easier for their families. As for myself, I am the mother of four sons and grew up with five older brothers.

I have 6 years of effective and high quality healthcare experience as a combat medic in the US Army. I enjoy being able to give patients the compassionate and high quality care they deserve.
