I love helping others. I started off providing respite relief for a family friend who needed a break. And then went on to work in a facility as a caregiver. I am most proud of being professional and dependable. I love building g trust with my clients and being able to help them realize that I care and provide my undivided attention.

The emotional and physical drain it is on the individual and the family when going through illness and/or aging is one I'm very familiar with. I have provided support and care to both parents who had cancer and were in Hospice care at home. In addition, I've assisted friends who've had a family member declining. I have no education or professional experience as a bedside caregiver nor do I feel comfortable or confident in providing medical or physical care. I am however, passionate and fully capable of providing excellent support in the following: emotional support | companionship | light housework | cooking | errands | appointments etc. Although the hands on physical bedside care is necessary and of extreme importance, I feel emotional love and support is also a crucial component, as humans we all need to have love and companionship. If this type of care is your need I would be fully vested in providing this service to your loved one as if he or she were my own family member.

What are your personality traits or expertise that help you be a great caregiver? My ability to make people feel comfortable and safe has always helped me have great relationships with my clients. What attracted you to being a caregiver? I really enjoy helping people. Anything I can do to make their day better or easier gives me satisfaction. What do you enjoy most about being a caregiver? Being able to connect and share stories with each other. Getting to know a client is always so much fun. What is a personal achievement you are proud of? Having had a client who went through surgery and helping them heal and getting them back to being independent as much as possible. I enjoy cooking and baking. Any time I can involve my clients in the kitchen it's fun for everyone! I love to work on crafts and puzzles. Im very go with the flow and happy to go with any schedule my clients is used to.
