I look at someone as if they where my family how you would want your family be taking care of if it was someone take care someone you related to. what attracted me to being caregiver i grew up in it my mom and grandma was nurses. then going to there job when little talking people nurse home spending time with them. Now as i am older i love helping people. I love going home at the end of day know i made someone life little better at end of the day. I enjoy caring for them and making there life little easier from the big things to little things cause there not able to do it or they need help. knowing the appreciate the help and what you do. My greatest achievement to keep going in the heath care fluid cause my heart in it and i love it. I type person even outside work i help people feeding them, donating clothes, whatever i can do.

I enjoy working with people and most enjoy jobs where you have one-on-one interaction with others. I enjoyed taking care of elder family members and would like to help others in this way. I like older adults and feel I can get along well with a variety of elders. My three grandmothers is why I started my career in caregiving.!

Growing up I always had a passion for being a person to care for people. I started as a teenager caring for babies and my passion continued to grow. I wanted to become a cna after my friend did and told me how much she loved it and it sounded like something I would love to do as well. My favorite part of being a caregiver is the satisfaction of knowing for sure everything was Done properly and I know the job was done not having to worry when I leave peoples homes. I also love the relationships that are built between caregivers and the person needing care also their families.

I have done private care for 14 years, I take time to listen and hear what the client needs and to know it doesn't always need to be rushed. I do like to learn new thing's we can always keep learning. Love helping my clients maintain independence at any form. I am always taking classes to learn strengthen my skills. I have over eight years' experience in the care industry. I began as a CNA working in nursing homes for four years before moving on to being a home counselor helping integrate the mentally challenged into society. After retiring from the workforce in 2010, I returned to work in home care for senior citizens. I have gained a wide variety of skill and maintain a professional connection with all my clients. I currently work with two home-care agency's and constantly educate myself to hone my skills. My compassion for senior citizens began while in middle school in the small town of Center Point Iowa. We have an eight apartment senior building close to the school. Every day, I would stop by, pick up the newspaper in front of the door and knock. Every time I was invited in to socialize. Listening to live history those folks lived through will always be in my fondest memories. I love taking care of those who paved the way for our society. Every client I meet gets professional care with a friendly, family atmosphere.

I love helping others! Since I was young I dreamed of being in the medical field! Fast forward and I've been in the medical field for 7 years! Caregiving since highschool so about 10 years! It brings me great joy making a difference in my patients lives!

For the last 10 years, I have spent much of my time being a steward of care. It began with helping to educate and feed young minds, both physically and mentally, continued with taking care of my elderly grandparents in the last years of the lives, moved on to helping to feed and nourish dementia patients, and still goes on today in being a father, and assisting elderly friends and neighbors. I have worked with dementia patients in their 90s, and children as young as three. I have experience setting up/operating peritoneal dialysis machines, managing medications, managing diabetes, feeding, cooking, transporting, and conversing. Patience is the most basic kindness one person can extend to another, and my ability to show patience and kindness, even in the most trying of situations, makes me proud. I look forward to serving your loved one!

My role as a caregiver initially started when I was 17. My Grandmother broke her hip and I lived with her to help her live independently in her own home again. This was not a paid position but one out of love and respect for my grandmother. 13 years later she was my Maid of honor, danced down the aisle at my wedding, at the age of 87. I've always enjoyed working with people in various stages of their lives. About 4 years ago, I became very ill and after 3 hospitalizations, I was transferred to a nursing home for a month. I had to learn to walk again. That experience reminded me of seeing various emotions of my grandmother when I was 17. However, this time it was me that was in her shoes, except I was at the mercy of strangers. I now understood the roller coaster of emotions that my grandmother verbalized. I made many friends in my stay at the nursing home. It was actually very sad when I left. My friends I made there wanted me to stay and work there....both clients and staff. That was when I decided to become a caregiver to help others continue to live independently in their own homes. I love what I do. I know my clients enjoy my presence in their lives. And that feeling has no price tag.

Personalities I have is very friendly and patient, I love helping others! I enjoy watching others complete a task while I'm there every step of the way. Being a CNA is one of my proudest achievements!
