I love being a CNA because it gives me the opportunities to get to know other people, help them with their needs, make new friendships and more education. As a CNA, I am a very positive person, willing to take on new challenges, will always take my time with any cares i'm doing to make sure that it's being done properly. I wanted to always be in the medical field, and being a CNA is a huge part in the medical field and it's so awesome how you can change a person day and their life even just by taking the time to even have a conversation with them. This job requires a lot out of you physically and mentally, but for me, it's all worth it to see them happy, healthy, and satisfied with how i'm taking care of them.

I have worked in health care since 2000. I have worked as a developmental trainer for the disabled, in the alzhimers unit, long term care facilities, in home care. I got my CNA certificate in 2010. I enjoy helping those that need my assistance to live a happy normal life.

I am one of a kind, since i have been young i have always wanted to help others..That why i picked my profession in healthcare, who wouldnt love me, im very friendly, loving, caring individual that light up a room.. what attracted me to being a caregiver is the joy in happiness i gave to the clients, patients, in there family by doing my job. What i love most is the clients in being there for them in making there day joyful in happy. Being in this field is an achievement for me just chnging peoples lifes in continuing to still be able to do that for other when they have nobody.

Hello my name is Brook Crooker. I am a mother of 2 beautiful children. I am reliable, on time, caring, and very responsible. I am good at multi-tasking. I have been a certified Nursing Assistant for a year and a half but i have been taking care of younger siblings and my own children and helping with my grandparents who both have diabetes and other health problems for much longer.

I started helping out with my great great grandmother when I was 14 years old, I later became a DSP at the age of 16 years old and have just fallen in love with the consumers and the job. Pleasing the consumers and seeing how much I can truly make them happy by just showing up for them made my day everyday. I absolutely love this field and beyond happy that I got into this field!

HI, I'm Edna, 44 yrs old mother of 3. I am very good with people, I've always worked with people, hands on. I have taken the caregiver class through the IL state health care and decided to further this by in home care. I'm not perfect but I am honest, caring and hard working.

The personality traits that help me to be a great caregiver are, I'd like to say I have a huge heart. I love everyone and everything I come across. I feel like that is the main trait someone needs to be able to be a great caregiver. The reason I got attracted to caregiving was due to the amount of love I had to offer, I love being able to make a difference in, if not one, but many peoples lives! Gives me a sense of purpose. I enjoy a lot of things about being a caregiver, the main thing is that everyday you're learning something new or doing something different. You get to grow and learn the people you care for and begin to form a bond like no other with each other ! A personal achievement of mine that I am proud of, is the fact that I graduated high school, moved out of my moms house, and am still living with no children at the age of 20! Not very much related to the job part of this but if that doesn't show you I have determination I don't know what will!
