What makes me a good caregiver is I take pride in my work, I take care of your loved ones just as you would expect. I see my clients as I would my own family. What attracted me to become a caregiver the last 6 years is when I was little girl my grandmother needed more help around the house and full filling her regular routine. Growing up my father needed the same help as he was bed bound I refused to let him go to a nursing home so I made sure to help him in anyway I could. The main thing that I enjoy most about being a caregiver is knowing that families loved ones are being taken care of and not being neglected or abused. It makes me feel whole that I can bring light back into someone's life wether it be just providing companionship or making my clients feel they are not alone. One of my biggest personal achievements I am proud of would be being a mom, taking care of my kids and also having the extra passion to take care of someone else warms my heart.

Everyone I come in contact with loves to talk with me! I'm a very energetic person with lots of smiles. I provide care to others when they can't help themselves. I'm very dependable and I have no problem with working a lot of hours when needed, I'm always available. As many years as I have been a nursing assistant I have never had someone say anything negative about me. My bosses have always had great things to say about me as a person and an employee as well as my co workers too. I own my own vehicle with insurance and can do anything I am asked. I have experience in hospital,nursing Home, assisted living, and home care settings. I have experience Cath removal and insert as well as oxygen tanks tubing and all equipment. I have cared for patient with diabetes and checking sugar and reminding and administrating medication to patients. I have great references and work history if needed. I'm also FIRST AID/CPR certified and I have just finished Medical Assisting classes, will be taking the state test this year as well.

I've very compassionate about being a caregiver. Helping someone in need is a big part of my life. I had a client that reached their goal of exercising, walking through the living everyday. It was a major goal for the both of us.

I'm an honest, empathetic, trustworthy person. I love to help make people feel better. Smiling and laughter are two of my favorite things. I'm patient and kind. I developed an exercise program at a nursing home. It was so rewarding to lead the group and see the progress some of the residents were able to make. A stroke victim was able to slowly increase her range of motion on the side that was practically paralyzed.

I am dependant, reliable, compassionate and caring. I have worked with children and adults with varying disabilities and needs. I became interested in being a caregiver at an early age when my parents brought me to their places of work working with adults with varying degrees of cognitive disabilities. The things I enjoy most about being a caregiver are getting to know different individuals personally and being able to help in any way possible. I also enjoy knowing that I can make a difference in someone's life even if in a small way. A personal achievement that I am proud of is making a connection with a 7 year old boy who came to the school for children with special needs that I was working at that allowed him to start trusting adults enough that he started flourishing in our program.

Been a CNA for 14 years. Ive worked in a few nursing homes. My father has Parkinson's disease and being a cna as long as I have. U learn to deal with all sorts of disability. I'm plan on furthering my education and become a registered nurse.

Well thank you for taking the time to look over my profile I am a kind and caring person. I love working in the nursing field and I have done so since I was younger I have a family line of nurses and CNAs and firefighters. Myself as do many of you know what it is like to have a loved one that has Alzheimer's or dementia or other elder needs. In 1999 my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and dementia it was a very rough road to cross. After seeing the things that my mother has went through and has accomplished and overcome it makes me want to continue to work in the nursing field. Someone once asked me why I chose the nursing field and all I can tell you is it is the simple things in life that can make a dramatic difference in someone's life. I love knowing that with my help and others and family members also I am able to help them stay at home. I love knowing that what I can do can change someone's life whether it be from something simple as tieing their shoe or just helping them brush their hair or complete simple daily tasks....
