Hi I've been in the business for over 14 years i grew up living with my grandparents and i watched how after they retired and needed help and had someone caring for them that made me wanna help another elderly person out as much as i could i gain history lessons and knowledge from my clients as well thy let me know a lot Of different things

I am looking for a part time position with hours in the evenings and/or weekends. I became a Caregiver because I enjoy being around people. My grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and after my grandfather passed away, I would visit her frequently to do her hair and other small tasks for her. The more time I spent there, I discovered how much I loved it. I got my Caregivers certificate within months and have never loved what I do so much. I love being able to help others. I love encouraging them to embrace what they can do and help them, gently, with what they are unable to do, now. Even though the job may be difficult at times, the reward at the end of the day is always worth it. I have worked in some very challenging circumstances where my patience, joy and understanding are challenged. I am proud to say that I have learned to understand where my client is coming from in different circumstances. I have learned to be patient with them during any situation and to be joyful before, during and after any trying time. I am a people person, with a big heart, who cares immensely for other people. I am trustworthy, kind, patient, caring and understanding.

I think I am a great caregiver because I pay strict attention to the needs and wants of my clients. I became a caregiver, after I retired, because I love people and have a passion to help. What I like most about being a caregiver is the fact that I am able to be of assistance in any way that I can for people. I have a very loving, caring heart and out of the many clients that I've had, I can honestly say, I've loved them and they have loved me as well. Besides all of that, I enjoy the wonderful conversations that we have and enjoy the many stories I've heard from them. I have patience and I like to show my clients the special attention that they want and need.

Hi im Shannon, I am very caring, friendly, enjoy meeting new people. I love working/helping the senior public, I learn alot from them they have lived through many years and they are experienced. My favorite is to hear when and how or where they grew up. Its a warm nice feeling. My Mom and Dad both passed from cancer so i have lots of experience from taking care of them. I learned how to clean my Moms trach which i feel is a big achievement for me I sure never thought i could ever do something like that, but it was for my Mom and for her to be able to come home so yes I did learn that and would of moved mountains if needed to be. I hope to be able to help anywhere I may be needed.

Being reliable, including arriving for work on time and fulfilling all duties in a timely Minnie, I respect all my clients and Iam a friendly person.I chose to become a giver because I love helping people who need help. I think patience and compassion are essential. This is a job that requires a lot of tolerance for challenging situations, and good communication and a positive attitude also go a long way. I have always loved helping people and when I was younger my grandmother developed dementia I felt very happy to be able to help her. I am proud to be able to put a smile on peoples faces even on the hard days I'm proud of the work I do.

Patience : especially when dealing with the elderly, it is essential for a caregiver to be patient because some of the consumers might not know what they are doing and some needed more time to understand informations . I've been a Licensed CNA for 4 in a half years. I've worked in nursing homes assisted livings hospitals and mental/substance abuse units. I'm very genuine loving and understanding when it comes to my work because i know it's hard to find that in the healthcare field nowadays, it's like everyone just does it for the money and no passion behind it. Although i like to get paid it's genuine passion that comes with me. I got into this field because of my grandmother so i proud myself on treating my patients clients and/or residents as such. I'm currently in nursing school, well doing my prerequisites for nursing school at Ivy Tech Community College I'm super proud and excited about that because going back for my R.N has been a goal of mine since i became a CNA back in 2019. Im just proud that I'm actually and finally in the process of making that happen! Dominating and changing the healthcare industry is my end game.
