Hi, My name Is Natesha (Nana)! I am a caregiver located in Illinois. I am a very outgoing person who sees a goal, pursues it and conquers it. My work is both efficient and effective. I'm a licensed CNA . Before that I was a housewife for 22 years. I have the hugest heart and a lot of medical training to go with it! Just recently lost both of the exceptional 90 year old beautiful women I cared for for the last two years. One of them I was able to move in with and do round the clock care for the last three weeks of her life due to unfortunately her getting Covid. I had the privilege to be with her while she took her last breath since none of her 5 children could not be with her since she was Covid positive. I've had all my Covid Vaccinations and I'm ready to go back to work for either one or two amazing exceptional super seniors!! I find it extremely rewarding to be able to give love and care to people in need.

I've been a caregiver for 5 years started off working at rescare where i worked in group homes supportive living sites and day programs. What i loved most about being a caregiver is the fact i'm able to make someone smile everyday knowing that i play apart in someone's day going better makes my day better. I love taking my clients out into the community i love crafts and doing different activities. I also would help prepare my clients meals which i'd say they love i'm a pretty good cook if i may say so myself. I then left rescare after 3 years worked at easterseals at their day program due to covid i had stopped working there. Then worked at Compass residential where i've worked as a caregiver and a supervisor is my current job now. Id say i'm proud of myself for not giving up some days are harder than other but i continue to keep pushing because i jobs love what i do.

I feel it takes someone special to take care of people in this field. They have to be there for the person or persons not just a pay check. If a person is only doing this line of work for a pay check. In my opinion their heart is not in it. You have to have the heart and compassion for this field. You have to have empathy, and love. I am not in this field for a pay check. At the end of the day it makes my heart happy and full to be able to provide the best care I possibly no how to provide.

I am a 46yr old married mother of 2 adult sons. I have always enjoyed helping people. I have worked with developmentally disabled people to severely mentally I'll people and each individual had so many unique qualities and everyone of them had something to offer in their community. They taught me to be a much more patient,attentive and to be a great listener. Not just to hear but listen and I believe that's so very important for a person to be heard. At the end of the day if I'm able to reflect back on my day and know I've done my very best for my clients and hopefully made their quality of life that much better then I can truely say I had a great day and hopefully positively impacted those I've interacted with on that day.
