I tend to be drawn toward Alzheimer/dementia patients as I'm learning my approach in care, they tend to respond to me best. I have worked with several families and helped to restore certain independence to patients with walking, dressing, feeding themselves. I ran a restorative therapy program for over two years in a nursing facility before deciding to take a home care position with an agency.
