I am a married and we're just living the family life. We love to go on car rides together, sightseeing, Love connecting with nature, Venturing to new places, Camping, and Fishing. Hello! My name is Lori. I am a mother of 4 (almost grown) children, and a daughter of one elderly parent. I have been a Physical Therapist Asst. for 29 years. My mother suddenly passed in 2017. My father has severe dementia, and in her absence, there existed a need for someone to care for him. I fulfilled this role for some time, until the inevitable, appropriate time came for me to return to my family and life back here in Missouri. I personally experienced the process of seeking a suitable caregiver for my father, to help maintain the lifestyle that he had always known. I didn't think that it should be difficult to find this person (people). But, it was, especially in a small rural KS town, considering the financial resources available. I discovered a passion for in-home caregiving. I have been blessed to be able to continue caregiving since that time, and have worked with several wonderful families. I am reliable, competent and compassionate. It is my desire to continue caring for those in need.

My personality traits that help me be a great caregiver is knowledge and understanding of all types of people and conditions. I can become attached to clients as I get to know them as they can become basically like family. I enjoy my work and job as a caregiver, its the most rewarding job I have had before I became a mother. Hello! I am graduating in December from Benedictine College and will be staying in Atchison until May, so I am looking around for a job during that time. I have been studying pre-physical therapy and have just been accepted into KU Med Physical Therapy program. I am CPR and First Aid certified and I have experience as a 24-hour caretaker. I love to cook, go on walks, and make DIY crafts. I am certified in Teaching Level One Yoga and I love helping with strength exercises and encouraging activity.
