What got me into caregiving is helping take care of my grandparents and I loved it and began doing it full time. I enjoy taking care of people's loved ones that are not able to do that for them. I am proud of myself for getting my CNA and being the best Aide that I know how to be.

My name is Rainah. I am a mother of 2. I have always enjoyed caring for others. I am very dependable, have great work ethic, and I'm down-to-earth. Watching my grandmother work as a caregiver when I was a child is what sparked my interest. What I enjoy the most as being a caregiver is that I can turn someone else's frown upside down, yet try to provide the best care for them that I know they deserve.

I have been a caregiver since I was a child. My Grandfather was bedridden for 15 years with RA and I was the oldest daughter, so I helped my mother with his care. I also cared for my Aunt who suffered from mental illness. She was diagnosed as bipolar and she was also schizophrenic She was also a diabetic with hypertension. I have also been an In Home Care Provider for a non family member who suffered from breast cancer. She lived with me until she passed away which was 34 months. I moved to Somerset to care for my dad who was diagnosed with Congestive heart failure and he was also an insulin dependent diabetic with hypertension and COPD. I cared for him 18 months until his passing and I now I'm a resident of Pulaski County. I'm also a foster parent and I adopted my son from the program when he was 13 and he is now 15. I have a total of 5 children and 4 Grandkids, 2 of which are twins. Caring for others is so good for our hearts, minds and souls. There's no other feeling like helping those in need. God loves us and wants us to do his work which is loving and caring for others as we do ourselves.
