Hi i'm Erica! I have been a caregiver in an assisted living facility and also private homes. Most of the people i have cared for all wanted the same thing. They want to feel useful and wanted even tho they need help completing everyday task. Letting a client do something for themselves with only small assist helps keep their minds sharp and helps them feel a little more independent! I enjoy seeing people feel accomplished and happy.

My personality traits are I'm ambitious, creative, compassionate, patient, courageous, flexible, honest, humble, honorable, loyal, conscientious, persistent, resilient. When I was 17 years old my grandmother had Alzheimer's disease so my family wanted to place her into a facility that was not an option for me so I took on the role of being her caregiver while everyone worked not knowing what I was getting into being in that position really molded me to pursue that career as caregiver it was the 1 on 1 bonding experience and learning experience. I enjoy getting to know the clients and family and making the client's daily living more enjoyable by providing companionship and emotional support, Just being able to make my client's life run smoothly and be that listening ear and compassionate caregiver. My personal achievement I am most proud of would be just being a mother.

I love taking care of my patients & making sure they are well taken care of & looking good . It's something that I always wanted to do , got in a medical program in middle school - high school called The HOSA Medical program & knew that's what I wanted to do for a long time . What I enjoy is seeing my patients happy & thriving . Getting my high school diploma & CNA license in the same month.

I enjoy learning about my clients and their experiences throughout their lives and I feel that's the main thing I was looking for coming into this line of work. Building a rapport with all of the patients and residents I've worked for is the most rewarding experience I've had still to this day I'm in contact with some of the first residents I ever had I'm here to not only be a caregiver but as well a friend and companion.

I have a huge and warm heart! I love helping anyone who needs me. My great gramma was such a wonderful woman and I just wish there was more I could have done for her before she passed, so I enjoy and dedicate what I do to and for my grandmother. I enjoy all of the comments my residents make towards me when I help them with anything, I love how thankful they are.

I look at it like taking care of my grandparents. I knew they needed help with certain things and I was there to help them. I love helping people out because one day, I might need that same help. What attracted me being a caregiver is when I first helped someone, I seen the smile on their face. What I love the most about being a caregiver is being there for people. A helping hand goes a long way in life. My personal achievement is reaching my goal when I graduated from school and seeing my grandma there when she couldn't get out the bed really. I helped her through a lot and that really put a smile on my face.
