I have been doing home health care for over 20 yrs now. I love my job and what I do. If I can make someone's life easier then I know I have done my job. I Love people And not just anyone can do this kind of work. You have to have a passion for people, and that's what I have. Every client I have had love my work. I'm good at what I do because I love what I do.

Hello, my name is Endia I am 26 years old and have experience with caregiving for my father over the past 5 years. I enjoyed taking good care of him knowing that I was returning the favor as he raised me my whole life. I enjoyed doing most things that he couldn't do such as cooking and cleaning because it would bring joy to him to have a clean space and a good meal.

Some personality traits about myself is that I'm outgoing, caring and honest when it comes to my work and always try doing my best job at any task that I'm given. Helping my grandmother take care of my great grandmother attracted me to become a caregiver, helping others you love is an unmatched feeling. I enjoy being able to make the clients smile and happy knowing I made their day easier just by being a helping hand. A personal achievement I'm proud of is still being in college although I ran into some obstacles along the way.

I was born in Lansing MI, and at two I moved to Grand Rapids, I went to Eastern Elementary School and then to Creston High School. I took up Machine Shop and Architectural Drawing. I was the oldest of 12 children. After high school I took a Tool & Die Apprenticeship. I also worked as a volunteer for the fire department. I built a house in Sparta Township where I live with my wife. I retired from Tool Die 2010 because of cancer. Then I started volunteering at Rest Haven Homes which ended up in a paid position. I enjoy making some one happy and to do the things they enjoy and also to be a companion and a friend. I do transportation to doctor appointments, dentist appointments, shopping, movies, out to eat, visit a friend, errands, or travel, I also do in home care with dressing assistance, mobility, exercise, meal planning, and preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, etc. I have completed classes on Hospice Care, Dementia, and worked at Rest Haven Homes for 12 years, and 3 1/2 years with Leaves Personal Care.

Quality of life has always been a passion of mine and serving people being a close second. I've worked in a variety of fields and I consider myself to be a well rounded individual. I strive to provide top quality services in everything I do. I'm open minded, fun, and determined to make everyone's quality of life greater than it was before.

Love feeling needed. Also love giving the patient the best, day possible. Love to watch old movies, bring old postcards, or cook be dishes their mother made in the past. Miss my own grandparents terribly. Caregiving fills that void for me. Love, it when my patients relive the past, and feel young again! Proud of taking care of people and helping them regain joy, in their last days.

I enjoy the knowledge of the elderly and like to help families keep their loved ones in their home that they worked for all their life. I worked in Quality in a factory for 34 years and was devastated when I was kicked to the curb. Then I remembered I enjoyed taking care of both of my parents and decided to pursue a new career path. I have been told that I taught my Father-in-law more helpful information on his Diabetes than his Doctor. I have been told that I am easy to get along with. I am 53 Years old and feel you wouldn't be sorry if you hired me. I have passed Certified Nurses Assistant training program on 8/23/17. Passed the state license exam 11/22/17.
