I am confident that I am a great Certified Nursing Assistant,because I believe in giving my all to my client to make them appreciative and Happy. Becoming a CNA has given me the ability to go above and beyond the call of duty for my clients while providing services. My personal achievement of becoming a CNA is that I always can see a smile on my client face when it maybe a bad time for that client.

I have worked in a caregiver role as a Social Worker for the elderly for 27+ years. I have previous experience as a caregiver in a home environment as well as in an adult foster care and assisted living setting. I worked in the emergency room of a hospital for 5+ years as an aide. I worked as an EMT for 15+ years for 3 different ambulance services. So, quite extensive experience working with people.

I have a lot of love to give. I'm a very compassionate person, which is very important in this field. I have a lot of patience, willing to learn, and have nothing but respect for those I care for. I am happiest and most fulfilled while caring for others. I fell in love with nursing in 1978 when I started my first job as a Nursing Assistant. I found that I was not only doing a job, I was caring for a person with an extensive life history that I could learn from. People who had family who loved them but were no longer able to care for them. I went on to get my LPN in 1986 and finally RN in 2012. I have provided care in Nursing Homes, Assisted Living Centers, private care in homes, Home Care through agencies and have cared for my patients and their families with integrity and compassion. Aging parents have caused me to reevaluate the need for flexibility and the availability to now also provide care for them. This means the typical nursing block schedule is no longer a good fit for my families needs. I will continue to provide compassionate care for others but it will look different than it has in the past.

I am a very down to earth, kind hearted person. I have always loved taking care of people, whether it be babies/kids or the elderly. I love being able to help people and it is very rewarding being a caregiver. Giving them companionship is so rewarding, especially if they don't have family/friends nearby.

I have previous work experience in a Nursing home as a CNA, taking care of many different needs. Bathing, grooming, toilet care, mobility care, feeding etc. Also worked at Dungarvin in home care with four residents. There my responsibilities were, toileting, Bathing, grooming, preparing meals, passing out meds. I feel I am a very compassionate and honest person. I love listening to the stories each individual brings.

I just like to work with the individuals that needs help, because I used to work at dementia care unit for almost 9 years here in Dassel. I just quit last August 24th 2018 and part time at AME community (group home) for 3 years now. I like communicating with the clients and help them out when they needs help and sometimes there is a challenge, but that is part of a job too. Provides the best care to the clients.
